Privacy policy
How DataMint handles your data. This is a plain-language summary — please have it reviewed by legal counsel before relying on it for compliance.
Last updated: 2026
What we collect
- Account data — your email, organization name, role, and (optionally) country/phone.
- Connection metadata — a display name and your database connection string, which is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). We never display it again or write it to logs.
- Usage data — template definitions, export audit records (who ran what, when, row counts), and support tickets.
- Analytics — anonymous, aggregate page analytics to improve the product.
What we do NOT do with your database
We connect to your database read-only and stream query results to produce CSVs. We do not copy, warehouse, or retain the contents of your database. Exported rows are not stored on our servers.
How we use your data
To operate the service, authenticate you, run the reports you request, deliver scheduled emails, provide support, and bill you. We do not sell your personal data.
Subprocessors
We use reputable infrastructure and service providers (hosting, managed Postgres, email delivery, payments, analytics) strictly to operate DataMint. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.
Data retention & deletion
You can delete connections, templates, and other data at any time. To delete your account/organization entirely, contact us and we'll remove your data within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.
Security
Encryption at rest for credentials, organization-scoped data isolation, read-only query enforcement, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but security is a core design constraint.
